Okay, if you never heard of the Great Molasses Flood, you are not alone! I had never heard of it either. This book has brought me up to speed on that part of history, and actually a couple of other historical facts too. Carmen is an Italian immigrant that immigrated with her Father so that Carmen could go to school. They live in the North End of Boston. At this end of Boston, there is a large tank that holds molasses. Unfortunately, one day the molasses break and all the million gallons of molasses spill across the North End. Can Camen and her horse Rosie survive the flood?
