This is definitely a series worth investigating. Each book discusses the life of a famous person from history. They are simply written, well illustrated, easy to read, and packed full of facts from cover to cover. As with other series that are compiled by various authors and illustrators, you will find that some books are better illustrated and written than others.

Robert E. Lee - Exceptionally well written and well illustrated, this book addresses the life of Robert E. Lee. It discusses the conflicts he felt personally during the Civil War. It contains numerous fascinating facts that were new to me. Obviously, it encourages participation in war, but it is done in a historical way, not in doctrinal fashion.
