The goal of the Amish Frontier Series is to present to the reader the very real challenges faced by the Amish throughout history as they tried to remain faithful to their beliefs. In order to do that, the author follows a fictional family through many actual Amish settlements, having them move very, very often. Because of the frequent moves, the stories do not feel totally realistic. However, they do give a clear picture of the struggles faced by the Amish in each location.
