“I may not be able to see, but I’m grateful that God gave me four other senses.” This quote encompasses a bit of this story. Johnnie was born in one and gradually lost the rest of his sight. He became completely blind by 22. Living with blindness never stopped Johnnie from traveling, building a strong business and participating in mission work. I’d highly recommend this book, and I’m looking forward to reading this book to my students for storytime. Just a note, this is the Chapter Book that goes with the Picture Book Blind Johnnie.
