    Sometimes, it is hard to make friends. Sometimes, we do silly things and are mean. Other times, it’s other people who tease and make bad choices. Animals never do that, so often it’s easier to be friends with animals. At least that’s what Julia thinks. At Recess, she just likes to stand in the background and not play. In her eyes, the other children just make fun of her. Slowly, her parents and her teachers help her see that maybe she has some bad habits that she could break. Taking care of her precious chicks also teaches her some valuable lessons. Together can these lessons help Julia make friends?
