A dog lives with a poet, and the saying goes that only poets and children can hear dogs talk… The dog finds two children lost in a winter snow storm. He takes them back to the cabin where he and the poet lived. He helps them not be afraid and together they survive the storm and find the chidlren’s parents. The story is written from the dog’s point of view, and deals with the tough topic of loss. It’s a sweet little book that talks about loss and grief while learning to love and trust again.
