Jonathan and his family just moved to Detroit from the South, so that his Dad can help rebuild another church. It’s almost Christmas time, and they have all worked hard on the church building, and then a pipe springs a leak the day before Christmas Eve. It stains the main wall in the sanctuary. Jonathan and his father travel to another part of the city by bus. As they wait for the bus, they spot a tapestry hanging in a second-hand shop. They enter the second-hand shop, and the owner sells them the tapestry for just the amount of money that Jonathan’s dad has in his wallet. Will this tapestry be their Christmas miracle? As with any other Patricia Polacco book, this book should be on your bookshelf. Fabulous read!
