               This graphic novel follows CeCe on her journey as a deaf child. She was not born deaf but became sick as a young child due to a severe illness. She can hear when she uses certain equipment. Follow CeCe as she grows up, goes to school, finds friends and learns to deal with her both her deafness and normal growing up problems. Just be aware that a few of the pictures are bordering on inappropriate when she’s changing and for a while, she only wears a swimming suit. The characters are drawn as bunny people, so it’s a not huge deal. Also, she is smitten with a classmate in the last part of the book. A great look into the life of a deaf child, however, I did not place it in our school library.
