This book is about a boy and his Grandma. It’s the companion book to Grandma’s Records. It’s Christmas time and Grandma comes to pick up Eric. They are going to spend Christmas Vacation together. The only assignment that Eric must do during Christmas Vacation is to go the Metropolitan Museum of Art and look at a specific painting. The painting is of Juan de Pareja. The portrait is painted by the famous Diego Velazquez. Grandma promised that she’d take him the museum if helps her make pasteles. Together they make pasteles then they head to the museum. The painting surprises Eric. Will it inspire him?
