When I was shopping at a local store, I saw this book and recognized Helga Moser name and purchased this book. Helga Moser wrote Danny the Workhorse, Chester the Rooster, Snoopy the Sheep and Shadow the Barn Cat, and our students enjoy reading them. However when I came home and looked at the book., I noticed the illustration, while beautifully done are black and white. The story is sweetly written. Johnny, a four year old boy, wants to be just like his Daddy. He does what he can to help his Mother by offering her his little chair and scaring off a “cat,” and many other things. It’s a darling little book, but would be greatly improved by colored illustrations.
