Yeah! It’s the much anticipated sequel to Shooting Kabul. The children at school have been begging and begging me to process this book. They can’t wait to read it!  Let me just tell you that the book was worth the wait and it’s worth your time to read it.

Change. None of us like it. All of us go through it at some time. There’s been a lot of change in Ariana’s life. Her perfect, amazing cousin Laila and her mom came from Afghanistan to live with her family. To her dismay, Ariana must share her tiny, crowded room with Laila. As school starts, she also learns that she’s gonna have to share her best friend, Mariam.

Ariana’s family owns an Afghan grocery store. They are the only Afghan store in city. Everyone loves their bread! Until another Afghan grocery store opens right across from them in Wong Plaza. The owners have just arrived from Los Angeles, but their family have a long history. They were neighbors in Afghanistan and haven’t exactly gotten along. It doesn’t help that strange things start happening in Wong Plaza. Ariana’s family store gets robbed. Nasty flyers appear about the other shop. Both owners blame each other. It’s up to the kids to put aside their jealous, become friends and solve mystery.   T
