"Silver Days" is the sequel to "Journey to America." While the first book was clean and at a child's level, the author really shifted her focus with this one. This book talks about hard things. It also talks a lot about boy/girl relationships. It is a good book, but not exceptional like the first. This story is set in America as Lisa and her family struggle to adjust to life in another culture during war time. It paints a clear picture of the prejudices and challenges faced by German immigrants and Japanese immigrants during the time of the Nazis. High School Level
