In this book, John Rush tells the story of a people group who looked for a messiah "John Frum America." Through the work of God, John ends up on the island and is able to point these people to Jesus Christ, thereby bringing an end to many years of confusion and incorrect beliefs. The story is slow moving in the middle and the author's fascination with movies is frustrating. If you can get past that, though, it is good to read about God's work on Vanuatu.
