"Crispin" is an artfully written book based in the medieval times. It paints a crystal clear picture of the challenges and intricacies of life in that day. I was gripped by the story and would definitely recommend it to families who discuss books together and can talk about the good and the bad. However, because of the descriptive nature of some of the violence involved, this book is not recommended for a Christian school library.
