"The Backward Bird Dog" contains some bad language, the people watch TV, and the man smokes. However, the puppy calls the cigarettes "nasty sticks". Some books are poorly written and therefore not worth reading because of bad language. Others are so amazing that they just need to be read, despite a few drawbacks. This book fits in the second category. The story is so creative and so hilarious that you will laugh until you cry. Have fun reading!
